A node operator who validates transactions and creates blocks on a proof-of-stake network.

Definition

A node operator who validates transactions and creates blocks on a proof-of-stake network. Validators stake tokens as collateral and earn rewards for honest behavior. They can be slashed for going offline or misbehaving.
