Retroactive Airdrop

A token distribution that rewards past users of a protocol who used it before any token or incentive existed.

Definition

A token distribution that rewards past users of a protocol who used it before any token or incentive existed. Uniswap's UNI airdrop in 2020 is the most famous example, giving 400 UNI to every address that had used the protocol. Retroactive airdrops reward genuine early adopters over airdrop farmers.
