Token Generation Event

The moment when a new token is created and becomes available.

Definition

The moment when a new token is created and becomes available. TGEs often coincide with initial exchange listings and airdrop distributions. The price action around a TGE can be extremely volatile as different groups (VCs, airdrop recipients, public buyers) have very different cost bases and motivations.
