Paymaster

A smart contract in the ERC-4337 account abstraction system that sponsors gas fees on behalf of users.

Definition

A smart contract in the ERC-4337 account abstraction system that sponsors gas fees on behalf of users. Instead of paying for gas yourself, a paymaster can cover the cost, letting you transact even with an empty ETH balance. DApps use paymasters to remove the gas barrier for new users.
