In the context of restaking and EigenLayer, an operator is an entity that runs infrastructure to validate AVSs (Actively Validated Services).

In the context of restaking and EigenLayer, an operator is an entity that runs infrastructure to validate AVSs (Actively Validated Services). Operators register with EigenLayer, opt into specific AVSs, and run the required software. They earn rewards but risk slashing if they misbehave.
