AVS

Actively Validated Service.

Definition

Actively Validated Service. A service built on EigenLayer that leverages restaked ETH for security. AVSs can be oracle networks, data availability layers, bridges, or any system that needs economic security. Instead of bootstrapping their own validator set, they rent security from Ethereum stakers through restaking.
