Liquidity Depth

How much an asset can be bought or sold without significantly moving the price.

Definition

How much an asset can be bought or sold without significantly moving the price. Deep liquidity means large orders can execute with minimal slippage. Shallow liquidity means even small trades can cause big price swings. Liquidity depth is visible on order book charts as the thickness of buy and sell walls.
