Order Book Depth

A visualization of all open buy and sell orders for an asset at different price levels.

Definition

A visualization of all open buy and sell orders for an asset at different price levels. Deep order books mean there's lots of liquidity and trades won't move the price much. Thin books are dangerous because even small orders can cause big price swings. Whales look at depth to plan their entries.
