Siebert's $175K Bitcoin Call Rests on a 1x mNAV Bet and a $58K Low
Siebert Financial's Brian Vieten sees Bitcoin at $175,000 within 12 months and puts a $350 target on Strategy. The interesting part isn't the number, it's that his model doesn't assume any mNAV expansion.
Siebert Financial just put a number on the table. Brian Vieten, the firm's head of digital assets research, sees Bitcoin at $175,000 within 12 months, and he's pairing that call with a Buy rating on Strategy and a $350 per share price target on the stock. For a shop managing $20 billion, that's not a throwaway forecast.
The foundation is the June low near $58,000, which Vieten reads as seller exhaustion. Miners, exchanges, treasury companies, and lenders had all finished offloading, in his telling. Fair enough as a read of the tape. But exhaustion describes who already sold. It says nothing about who shows up next, and it isn't a number you can pull from a dashboard.
Here's the part that actually deserves attention. Siebert's $350 Strategy target doesn't assume any expansion in mNAV, the premium the stock carries over the value of the Bitcoin it holds. At roughly 1x, Strategy sits near the floor it has bounced off before. Pitching that stock without leaning on multiple expansion is a harder argument than most analysts bother to construct, and it's the closest thing to intellectual honesty in the whole thesis.
Everything else hangs on three supports. Sticky ETF demand, big banks rewriting the Bitcoin lending complex, and the GENIUS Act opening room for stablecoins and tokenization to pull in fresh buyers. Vieten calls it a clean runway. He also treats the four-year cycle as background noise, which will irritate a certain slice of the timeline that built its entire model around it.
Institutions still want the same three things before they scale allocations. Custody, clarity, and a track record that survives a real drawdown. The GENIUS Act helps with the second. It doesn't touch the other two, and no amount of stablecoin legislation changes how a pension committee reads a 70% drawdown.
So take the target seriously and the reasoning more seriously. A forecast built on sticky flows is only as good as the stickiness. If ETF demand reverses and lending desks tighten, $175,000 has nothing underneath it. Watch mNAV before you watch the price call.
