A broad category of crypto apps that reward users with tokens for doing specific activities.

Definition

A broad category of crypto apps that reward users with tokens for doing specific activities. Play-to-earn (Axie Infinity), move-to-earn (STEPN), and learn-to-earn (Rabbithole) are examples. Most X-to-earn models struggled with sustainability because the token rewards needed constant new users to maintain value.
