Wrapped Token

A token representing another asset on a different blockchain.

Definition

A token representing another asset on a different blockchain. Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) is BTC usable on Ethereum. Wrapping lets assets move across chains but introduces trust assumptions about the wrapping mechanism.
