UTXO

Unspent Transaction Output.

Definition

Unspent Transaction Output. Bitcoin's model for tracking ownership. Instead of account balances, Bitcoin tracks individual coins from past transactions that haven't been spent yet. When you send BTC, you consume UTXOs and create new ones. It's more like spending physical cash than using a bank account.
