Definition

Creating multiple fake identities to gain disproportionate influence in a system. In crypto, sybil attacks target airdrops by using hundreds of wallets to farm the same protocol. Projects use on-chain analysis and tools like Gitcoin Passport to identify and filter out sybil wallets before distributing tokens.
