Stop-Limit Order

An order that combines a stop trigger with a limit price.

Definition

An order that combines a stop trigger with a limit price. Once the stop price is hit, a limit order is placed at your specified price instead of a market order. It gives you more control over execution price but risks not getting filled if the market moves too fast through your limit price.
