Peer-to-Peer (P2P)

Trading or transacting directly with another person without an intermediary.

Definition

Trading or transacting directly with another person without an intermediary. P2P exchanges like Bisq and Paxful connect buyers and sellers directly, often using escrow to ensure both sides fulfill their obligations. Bitcoin was designed as a peer-to-peer electronic cash system.
