Notional Value

The total value of a leveraged position, not just the margin you put up.

Definition

The total value of a leveraged position, not just the margin you put up. If you use $100 with 50x leverage to open a Bitcoin long, the notional value is $5,000. It's important for understanding your true exposure and risk, especially in perpetual futures markets.
