Multisig Wallet

A wallet that requires multiple private keys to authorize a transaction, like needing 3 out of 5 keyholders to sign.

Definition

A wallet that requires multiple private keys to authorize a transaction, like needing 3 out of 5 keyholders to sign. DAOs and protocols use them to secure treasuries so no single person can steal funds. Safe (formerly Gnosis Safe) is the most widely used multisig wallet in crypto.
