Definition

An omnichain interoperability protocol that lets smart contracts communicate across blockchains. Unlike bridges that move tokens, LayerZero sends messages between chains, enabling truly cross-chain applications. Its ZRO token airdrop in 2024 included controversial Sybil filtering.
