Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC)

The mathematical foundation behind Bitcoin and Ethereum's key generation system.

Definition

The mathematical foundation behind Bitcoin and Ethereum's key generation system. ECC creates the public-private key pairs that secure your wallet. It's extremely efficient, providing strong security with relatively small key sizes. Every crypto transaction you sign uses elliptic curve math under the hood.
