A design document proposing new features or changes to Ethereum.

Definition

A design document proposing new features or changes to Ethereum. EIPs go through community review before implementation. Famous EIPs include EIP-1559 (fee burning) and EIP-4844 (proto-danksharding for cheaper L2s).
