Devnet

A development network used for early-stage testing of blockchain protocols and smart contracts.

Definition

A development network used for early-stage testing of blockchain protocols and smart contracts. Unlike testnets, which simulate production conditions, devnets are more experimental and may reset frequently. Solana uses devnet as the first testing environment before code reaches testnet.
