Deterministic Wallet

A wallet that generates all its addresses from a single seed phrase using a mathematical formula.

Definition

A wallet that generates all its addresses from a single seed phrase using a mathematical formula. Knowing the seed lets you recreate every address and private key the wallet ever generated. Most modern wallets use hierarchical deterministic (HD) derivation paths defined by BIP-32 and BIP-44.
