A specialized blockchain or service that stores transaction data so anyone can verify it, without handling execution.

Definition

A specialized blockchain or service that stores transaction data so anyone can verify it, without handling execution. Rollups post their data to DA layers instead of or in addition to Ethereum. Celestia, EigenDA, and Avail are purpose-built DA layers that offer cheaper data storage than Ethereum.
