Dark Pool

A private trading venue where large orders are executed without showing up on public order books.

Definition

A private trading venue where large orders are executed without showing up on public order books. Institutions use them to buy or sell huge amounts without moving the market price. In crypto, some DEXs now offer dark pool features using zero-knowledge proofs for privacy.
