A network of independent blockchains that can communicate with each other through the IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication) protocol.

Definition

A network of independent blockchains that can communicate with each other through the IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication) protocol. Each chain in the Cosmos ecosystem can have its own validators and governance while still being able to transfer assets to other Cosmos chains. ATOM is its native token.
