Any cryptocurrency that isn't Bitcoin.

Definition

Any cryptocurrency that isn't Bitcoin. The term combines 'alternative' and 'coin.' Ethereum, Solana, and Cardano are all altcoins, though the bigger ones are sometimes called 'majors' while smaller ones are just 'alts.'
